This will include attending antenatal and postnatal appointments, being present at labour and birth, and supporting women through the first six weeks after birth.

Once enrolled, you'll have student registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) through the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency. Building a Foundation

Your midwife training will include essential knowledge of the human sciences including anatomy, physiology, pathophysiology, pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics and the social constructs of motherhood that you will use and apply no matter where you go in your career.
